| DC TACHOMETERS
Description: DC tachometers are used to provide feedback on the rotational speed of a motor. When coupled to the motor shaft, tachometers output a voltage signal that is directly proportional to the motor speed.
Output: Standard tachometer windings provide a voltage output of 3V/1000 rpm or 5 V/1000 rpm.
Electrical Connection Method: Shielded, double conductor leads for enclosed version. Solder terminals for open version.
Frame: Machined, aluminum impact-extrusion.
Armature: Varnish-impregnated, precision-balanced, with diamond-turned commutator. See Data page for information on armature inertia.
Magnet: Precision-ground Alnico 5.
Brush-holder: Precision-molded, polybutylene-terephthalate (P.B.T.) with glass fiber reinforcement.
Bearings: Double-shielded, life-lubricated, precision ball bearings.
Shaft: Precision-ground, 17-4 PH stainless steel, heat-treated to a hardness of Rc 40-45.
Mounting:: Two, #4-40 UNC-2B threaded holes on front of tachometer housing can be used to mount tachometer to motor. Please note: We can provide tachometers that are integrated into the deisgn of our standard motors and gearmotors. however, for tachometers purchased separately, Motor Technology, Inc. does not provide the shaft coupling needed to connect the tachometer shaft with the customer's motor shaft.
Weight: See Data page for information on tachometer wieghts. |
