Application Engineering
Because we are an experienced dc motor manufacturer, our application engineering department is staffed with the most knowledgable individuals and is supported by some of the latest magnetic simulation and CAD equipment.
Receiving
All product arriving at our facility goes throught the receiving department. All of the items that will eventually go into the stockroom are identified with a label showing part number, revision level, description, unit of measure and date.

Machine Shop
We manufacture many of the items from bar stock on modern CNC and computerized machinery. Tolerances are held as low as .00003 for many of the critical dimensions. In addition to CNC, Hardinge, and Fadel equipment, we also have Barber-Colman gear cutters, hones, Bridgeport mills, and allen equipment.
Armature Room
Our armature room assembles the rotors, stators, magnet housing assemblies and many of the pre-assembly items needed by the Final Assembly Department.

PDQ Department
The PDQ Department is equiped just like the armature rooms and final assembly areas. They specialize in prototypes and small quantitiy deliveries. Design Engineering also uses this department for any necessary research and development.
Hysol / Varnish Room
All armatures are impregnated with varnish in this room to secure all of the windings to the stack. An insulation coating of powdered hysol is also applied in this room to all stack assemblies.

Final Assembly
Pre-assembled items, after begin inspected by the Quality Control Department, are taken to the final assembly department where the individual components are assembled into the final product. DC Motors, DC Gearmotors, DC Brakemotors, and Tachometers are assembled here.
Quality Control Department
Our modern Q.C. Department checks all incoming product, process set-ups, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies. DC Motor and DC Gearmotor performance is also verifed before going to the shipping department. Attached to the Q.C. Department is a custom run in room where all motors are run in prior to shipping to the customer.

Shipping Department
With a 98% On-time shipping delivery schedule, all product is carefully packaged per Process Engineering Specifications and/or customer requirements. The shipping department also handles all of the product going to outside vendors. All of the outside processes have special handling requirements or custom racking for the plating operations.
